Gardening With Annette

The other day we got a package in the mail from John's Aunt Lana. She had sent Carolyn some supercute onesies and she sent Annette a gardening set, complete with three tools, a kneepad and an apron. (Thanks Aunt Lana). So we went out to plant some flowers that Laurie had gotten us (thanks Laurie) in a pot and brought out Annette's tools so she could help. She was so cute. She jumped right in with John in taking the dirt out of the old pots and then putting the new potting soil in. I think we might have a future Martha Stewart on our hands (minus the prison thing, of course).

Spitting Images

We think that Carolyn looks a lot like Annette did at this age. So we have a test for you guys, here are some pictures of the two of them from around the same time in their lives. Can you tell which one is which?

Tummy Time and Night Night

Carolyn has been having little bits and pieces of tummy time (when she can stay awake between feedings that is). She is doing a lot better at it than Annette did. Annette absolutley hated it, screaming and crying the whole time she was on the ground. Carolyn on the other hand just lays there and moves a little bit and even lets here Daddy play with her some.

Annette has done such a great job adjusting to her new sister. She is so sweet to her, she helps give her her pacifier, she helps push he swing, and holds her hand when she is in her bassinet. She says Carolyn pretty well and sister too. She has been very sweet. She also really likes to kiss her sister and tell her good night.

First Bath

On Monday, Carolyn got her first bath.  Well not a real bath, since she still has her umbilical, but at least a little sponge bath so she won't get too stinky.  She did great, and didn't even cry that much when she went under the faucet.

Getting dried off by Mommy

After her bath she got all dried up and then fell asleep on Mommy.  It was a pretty tiring day.

Introducing Carolyn Jean...

Our second daughter, Carolyn Jean, has made her appearance.  Here are her stats:
