Christmas Day 2010

Christmas was better than it's ever been this year. Annette is at one of many fun ages where she now understands the Christmas traditions of Santa and presents. The best present of all for Emily and I was just watching her enthusiastically open her presents and then play with her new toys and wear her new clothes.

Here's what Santa left at the Wisbrock household!

Here are our stockings hung with care.

Christmas morning...what did Santa bring us?

Santa brought me a kitchen and butterflies!

Santa brought me a kitchen...

and an umbrella just like I asked for!

What did you get Carolyn?

I'll show you how to use this tunnel!

I also like playing with the butterfly toy!

Thank you Santa. I love my new kitchen!

My first Christmas is awesome!

Yay! Some stuff to cook in my kitchen!

Yay! Soccerball - I mean baseball!
We had our immediate family over for Christmas Breakfast. Mimi, Uncle Will, Aunt Melissa, Casey, Kathy, and Jeff all came over for some delicious pastries, casseroles, and coffee cake.

Opening presents!

Carolyn helping open her present...but really just trying to eat the paper!

More presents for Kathy, Casey, and Mimi!

This is a big one. It's for me.

Can you tell I really like my kitchen?

I also like Carolyn's baby doll.

Melissa finally convinced Annette to calm down long enough to read a book.

Let me show you my book now.

Austin even stayed awake for most of the festivities!
I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays this year as much as we did! Merry Christmas!

Night before Christmas PJs!!!!

So Emily always got pajamas on the night before Christmas growing up. Her mom let her open up one gift on Christmas Eve and it was always pajamas. We have kept the tradition alive with Annette the last two years, and started Carolyn on it this year. Even Emily got new pajamas so all three ladies in this house got new pajamas. Fortunately, I was left out of the pajama party, but that meant I was free to take pictures. Lucky for me and for you.

Let the gift unwrapping begin!!!!

Carolyn is going to eat that paper.

Annette got some really cute pj's.

She wanted to put them on right away.

Three pretty girls ready for bed.

They are having too much fun to go to bed.

Merry Christmas!!

9 Month Check Up

We took Carolyn for her nine month check up this afternoon. Thankfully the doctor didn't have much to say except, "She looks great". Check our her nine month picture to the right. She is growing up too fast!

Here are her stats:

Weight - 20 lbs., 14 oz. (75%)
Length - 29 1/2 in. (95%)
Head - 18 1/4 in. (95%)

We can't wait to celebrate Carolyn's first Christmas in just a few days!

Hanging Stockings and Decorating the Baby Tree

We continued our neverending house decoration-a-thon the other day by hanging up our stockings and decorating a baby tree for the playroom. We needed the baby tree so we could put the presents for our favorite Christmas tradition under it. We have wrapped 25 children's christmas books and put them under the tree. Each night one of the girls picks a "present" and we read the book before they go to bed. It is really cool. Anyway, Annette picked out the decorations for the baby tree and the she decorated it. It was way fun.

Annette had to stand on the toybox to hang up the stockings.

Putting up her own.

A job well done!!!

Putting the topper on the tree.

I'm gonna decorate with these.

See, Carolyn!!!!!

Now I will put them on the tree.

Pretty girls with a pretty tree.

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!!

Tree #2

A couple of days after we put up our tree we were over at Gramma and Poppa's and helped htem put up their tree. Annette again showed her awesome ability to put decorations on the tree. She is so good we might have to start a tree decorating business.

Before we decorated Annette found a new hat.

She wanted to show it off to everyone.

But it was too big for Carolyn.

Then it was time to decorate the tree.

Annette picked her spot to decorate again.

Then it was time to dress Gramma and Poppa's bears.

Hey, that's not a bear!!!!!!

Look at those silly shoes!!!!

Now they are in the right place!!!!!

And Annette is too!

Decorating the Tree

Sooooooo, it has been forever since we posted on this, we've been kinda busy. I'm just going to post about decorating our Christmas tree instead of actually acknowledging that and we'll pretend it never happened.

Man oh man, Christmastime is fun with a 2 year old. Annette is so into this season right now, it is great to see her do everything. We decorated the first of three trees a while back, and Emily and I got such a kick out of Annette and her decorating. It was pretty awesome.

Carolyn was ready to decorate the tree.

But it was Annette and Mommy who did it all.

Here's a pretty ornament.

It will look great right there.

And this one should go here.

Yep, that's a picture of you.

Annette really liked decorating this part of the tree.

She did a really good job of it though.

Time to get out the carousels.

Carolyn found a hat to wear.

She really liked it.

And she looked really cute in it.

Annette liked the hat too.

She got out the owl for Christmas too.

Once the tree was up it was time to put some gifts under it.

Santa's Little Helper.
