At Pump It Up with Cody and Kami

Back in December we took Cody and Michael over to Pump It Up in Katy to meet up with Jodee, Kami, and Karli. They were having some kind of kids play time or something and it was pretty cool. They had like three four big blow up bouncy things that the kids got to run around and play in. It was really cool to watch them go, but really tiring to try to keep up with them. It was fun though and it is something we should try to go do again.

Annette and Kami helped their sisters get squared away first.

and then they were off.

Kami stopped for one photo, but not Annette.

Then they were on the go again.

They had a lot of fun in the obstacle course.

But it was a lot of work to keep up with them.

Carolyn and Karli on the other hand....

were not that hard to keep up with.

Kami and Cody wanted to climb up the big ladder and use the slide.

(The little girl in red is not Annette)

Annette was not that into the big slide.

Here comes Cody!!!!!

Annette did eventually try it out though.

Kami stopped for a few minutes for a snapshot.

So Cody and Annette stopped too.

Carolyn and Kami were still pretty laid back.

Then the girls moved on to another bouncy.

And got into a fight.

"My Big sister can beat up your big sister."

Kami and Annette show where their teeth used to be, while Cody rolls his eyes..

Just kidding they didn't fight.

But they did play a pretty competitive game of air hockey.

New Jammies!

The girls got some super cute new jammies for Christmas. Annette loves Tinkerbell, and Carolyn looks so grown up in her two piece pajamas. It was also a fun evening because Carolyn finally decided to start army crawling on the floor! This was back on December 27th.

After the brief photo shoot we realized that Carolyn really liked Annette's comb, so we decided to see if she would go after it. And it worked!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!! Our little baby girl is on the move!!!!!!!!

Playing in the Rain

Everybody who asked knows that the main thing Annette wanted from Santa for Christmas was an umbrella. Thanks to Aunt Melissa, that eventually evolved up to an umbrella, boots, and a coat. Well Santa delivered and so did Uncle Larry, and then Mother Nature delivered a few days after Christmas when it rained. That meant Annette got to suit up and go outside and play in the rain. I got a few pictures (while trying to shield the camera from the raindrops) and Annette had a lot of fun splashing around.

I'm ready for the rain!!!

This time with the flash.

Looks like she found a puddle.

"Oh no, my boots got wet."

The umbrella is keeping her dry.

Getting ready to jump!!!

SPLASH!!!!!!!!!

More Christmas (Grandma & Poppa's)

A few days after Christmas we got together with another side of our family over at Grandma and Poppa's house. Will, Melissa and Austin were there, as well as Vicki and Larry. Michael and Cody even made the trip in so we could celebrate together. First we all met at Texas Roadhouse, or "The Peanut Place" as Poppa calls it, then we meandered over to Grandma and Poppa's cottage to "Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of present opening!!!!"

Carolyn is ready to try some bread!!
(Yes she has started eating a little table food)

Um....WHY did it take you nine months to let me try this?

Annette and Cody try to decide what to order.

Big Sister likes the bread too.

All that bread eating sure makes one thirsty.

The Great Grandkids at Grandma and Poppa's.

Cody and Annette are great second cousins.

Carolyn says hi to her cousin (and Aunt Melissa and Mommy too)

A couple of beautiful babies!!

Austin might be falling asleep.

"Wake Up, Austin!!!"

He's wide awake now.

Then the Havoc began.

There were babies everywhere.

And toys galore.

Carolyn was interested in everybody's toys.

But she liked her kitchen best.

In fact everybody liked her kitchen.

Annette got a new umbrella and boots.

(and she posed in them all on her own)

She and Cody enjoyed playing with their umbrellas.

But Annette took it to new heights.

One of the highlights of the night was Annette's famous Umbrella Dance.

It seemed like we all had a good time as we wrapped up the Christmas season. Watching Carolyn's eyes get wide with surprise as gifts were piled around her was a treat and it really was a joy to see Annette really appreciate and get excited about everything. Hopefully something like and umbrella and boots will be just as impressive to her next year.
