Pedicures for the Flower Girls

Annette and Carolyn get to be flower girls in Mike (Emily's cousin) and Susie's upcoming wedding.  Susie brought them to get pedicures this morning so their feet will be really pretty.  The girls are really excited about it.

Sitting in the big chairs.

The girls were happy about getting this done.

Carolyn loved the green water.

They had to kind of tilt the chairs forward so their feet would reach the water.

Annette's water was blue.

Annette stayed very still while her feet were worked on.

Carolyn tried really hard too.

They looked like pedicure pros.

And were patient while their nails were painted.

Then it was off to the drying machine.

Carolyn's oh so pretty toenails.

Then it was Annette's turn to dry.
Her toes were really pretty too!!

Annette's Last Day At Pegasus

Today was Annette's last day in the Pegasus Class at Smith Elementary.  She went there for 2 years and learned so much. Here is a picture from her first day in August of 2010.

Ready for school!!!

And here are a couple of pictures of Annette last Thursday on her final day at Pegasus.

Pretty cute isn't she.

I had to bribe her with Airheads in order to get her to take this.

Take the Wisbrocks Bowling, Take the Bowling

Hopefully somebody got the reference to Camper Van Beethoven in the post title, but I'm guessing you didn't. On Memorial Day, we had a family fun day by taking the girls to the new Palladium Mega Center for some bowling.  It was the girls first time to try it and they did pretty good.  The place was great and super new, in fact I think most of us wore brand new bowling shoes.

Emily showed Carolyn how to bowl.

And Carolyn seemed to like it.

I tried it next  and took a more hands on approach.

Which she still enjoyed

But Annette didn't need any help

Carolyn tried underhand but still needed help

From the worker who had to retrieve her ball.

This was the only time he had to do this, which I call a win.

Annette was actually pretty good (with the bumpers out)

She had her own unique style

But it seemed to get results.

And when she walked away she looked like a pro.

Carolyn would size up her frame...

Wind up....
Let it fly....

Then run back saying "I did it!!"

Annette waiting on her ball.

And coming back to her seat.

The girls really enjoyed themselves

And had a good time.

As we starting nearing the end, Carolyn would even get her ball out of the return

And refuse our help

Then run back to her seat

To the popcorn

So she could stuff her face

Annette did it all on her own too.

Annette even won the game.

Annette's 5th Birthday Extravaganza

On the 15th, Annette turned 5.  We had a big blowout that included doll hairstyles, playgrounds, build-a-bears, carousels, cookie cake, and chinese food.  We really did her birthday up right.

The festivities started with a trip to the American Girl store to get Annette's and Carolyn's (pictured) dolls hair did.

Annette was really excited to watch it done.

Baby Jesus enjoyed it too.

Baby Caroline really needed lots of work.

Mema watched approvingly.

Patience grasshopper.

What a pretty braid.

They gave her the fishtail.

Carolyn had to wait a little longer.

After calling in some help Baby Caroline's hair is finally tamed.

She got a pretty braid too.

Four cute little girls.
Then it was time to go get some lunch.

After lunch we went to the playcastle in the mall.

We played there until all of Annette's friends showed up.

Then we went off to Build A Bear.
Everybody got their instructions.
Even Mikey was enthralled.

After they built their bears we adjourned to the food court for gift opening,
and Cake.
Lots of cake.

After the cake we rode the carousel.

The next day we went to our traditional meal at P. F. Chang's.
Our little big girl

My girls.

Cake time.

She got all the candles.

This was Mimi's angle.

All the kids by the horsie.
